phillipians

Felt that recently, God has been speaking to me about 'Track Records', past victory, knowledge acquired in the past and even experience. I felt that God spoke tremendously much through the Book of Phillipians.

But whatever was to my profit I now consider loss for the sake of Christ. What is more, I consider everything a loss compared to the surpassing greatness of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord, for whose sake I have lost all things. I consider them rubbish, that I may gain Christ and be found in him, not having a righteousness of my own that comes from the law, but that which is through faith in Christ—the righteousness that comes from God and is by faith.
-Phil 3:7-9

Brothers, I do not consider myself yet to have taken hold of it. But one thing I do: Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead,
I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus.
-Phil 3:13-14

and the ultimate verse:

And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.
-Phil 4:7

Felt that really need to do so much more for my future, for the kingdom of God; given the time that I have right now. Book of Philipians really came forth as a Rhema in this season. I'm going to catch it and run with it. =)

Jia you jia you!!!

Understanding the Economy

CowsThere is no doubt that the world economy has been in a bit of a turmoil of late with extreme volatility in things such as the value of the dollar, the share market, and property.

Here's a humorous attempt to try to make some sense of it all ...

21 Economic Models Explained with Cows

SOCIALISM

You have 2 cows.
You give one to your neighbor.

COMMUNISM

You have 2 cows.
The State takes both and gives you some milk.

FASCISM

You have 2 cows.
The State takes both and sells you some milk.

NAZISM

You have 2 cows.
The State takes both and shoots you.

BUREAUCRATISM

You have 2 cows.
The State takes both, shoots one, milks the other, and then throws the milk
away ...

TRADITIONAL CAPITALISM

You have two cows.
You sell one and buy a bull.
Your herd multiplies, and the economy grows.
You sell them and retire on the income.

SURREALISM

You have two giraffes.
The government requires you to take harmonica lessons.

AN AMERICAN CORPORATION
You have two cows.
You sell one, and force the other to produce the milk of four cows.
Later, you hire a consultant to analyse why the cow has dropped dead.

ENRON VENTURE CAPITALISM

You have two cows.
You sell three of them to your publicly listed company, using letters of
credit opened by your brother-in-law at the bank, then execute a
debt/equity swap with an associated general offer so that you get all four
cows back, with a tax exemption for five cows.
The milk rights of the six cows are transferred via an intermediary to a
Cayman Island Company secretly owned by the majority shareholder who sells
the rights to all seven cows back to your listed company.
The annual report says the company owns eight cows, with an option on one
more.
You sell one cow to buy a new president of the United States , leaving you
with nine cows.
No balance sheet provided with the release.
The public then buys your bull.

A FRENCH CORPORATION

You have two cows.
You go on strike, organise a riot, and block the roads, because you want
three cows.

A JAPANESE CORPORATION

You have two cows.
You redesign them so they are one-tenth the size of an ordinary cow and
produce twenty times the milk.
You then create a clever cow cartoon image called 'Cowkimon' and market it
worldwide.

A GERMAN CORPORATION

You have two cows.
You re-engineer them so they live for 100 years, eat once a month, and milk
themselves.

AN ITALIAN CORPORATION

You have two cows, but you don't know where they are.
You decide to have lunch.

A RUSSIAN CORPORATION
You have two cows.
You count them and learn you have five cows.
You count them again and learn you have 42 cows.
You count them again and learn you have 2 cows.
You stop counting cows and open another bottle of vodka.

A SWISS CORPORATION

You have 5000 cows. None of them belong to you.
You charge the owners for storing them.

A CHINESE CORPORATION

You have two cows.
You have 300 people milking them.
You claim that you have full employment, and high bovine productivity.
You arrest the newsman who reported the real situation.

AN INDIAN CORPORATION

You have two cows.
You worship them.

A BRITISH CORPORATION

You have two cows.
Both are mad.

AN IRAQI CORPORATION

Everyone thinks you have lots of cows.
You tell them that you have none.
No-one believes you, so they bomb the **** out of you and invade your
country.
You still have no cows, but at least now you are part of Democracy ...

AN AUSTRALIAN CORPORATION

You have two cows.
Business seems pretty good.
You close the office and go for a few beers to celebrate.

A NEW ZEALAND CORPORATION

You have two cows.
The one on the left looks very attractive.

fishing

It has been quite a while since i updated my blog.
Last friday, XianBi, Kenneth and myself went fishing with Gabriel. It was an awesome experience, even though we caught nothing. Saw another side of Gabriel doing what he enjoys most. Also the smell of salty air and water- Wah!!! This is the smell from my childhood growing up in fish farm.

Really learnt quite some stuff, the solitude, the heart to heart conversations. the revelations and stuff like that.
Remember telling Gabriel this: "Gabriel, I realised fishing cannot train patience, it only reveals inpatience." "WHY NO FISH!!!!"
But it was just awesome.

Faith in God and myself

Used to think that I am always not good enough.
Whatever that I have done, always the bad and wrong is remembered, the good and right things are ignored, taken for granted and forgotten.
Always find myself stumbling, failing and falling all the time. Like a vicious cycle, it is exhausting, tiring and weary to the soul. I am never the plan A, I am always just the one filling gaps, replacing places that need replacing or when there is just no one else.

However, God reminded me through Pastor Tan that it is He who first loved me, cleanse me, forgive me. The One who gave it all for me on the Cross. The One who gave visions and dreams. Who spoke the heavens and earth and everything else into existence.

I felt that God is really speaking about the fundamentals of the faith in my life during this season. Really fundamentals, such as my giving to Him; the heart of worship, the sacrifice of praise and a life of purity.

But also for this very reason, giving all diligence, add to your faith virtue, to virtue knowledge, to knowledge self-control, to self-control perseverance, to perseverance godliness, to godliness brotherly kindness, and to brotherly kindness love.
For if these things are yours and abound, you will be neither barren nor unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ. For he who lacks these things is shortsighted, even to blindness, and has forgotten that he was cleansed from his old sins.
Therefore, brethren, be even more diligent to make your call and election sure, for if you do these things you will never stumble; for so an entrance will be supplied to you abundantly into the everlasting kingdom of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
-1 Peter 1:3-11

Yesterday, was fellowshipping with Jian Feng and Kenneth. Jf was talking about the fundamentals as well.

The three 'F's
1.Focus
2.Faithfulness
3. Faith

I beleive all these 'F's will amount to another 'F'
Fruitfulness

Confession time.
I have a God who loves me, who cares for me and understands me inside out.
I have a personal relationship with God, who is my Abba Father.
God is for me, God is with me, God is in me.
I have a destiny in life.
I am focused on my life's goals
I have faith
I am faithful.
I am fruitful.
I have a strong integrity.
I love God and I love people.
God's presence is the best appreciation that I can ever get!
I am Blessed!

At The Cross - Hillsongs

Oh Lord You’ve searched me
You know my way
Even when I fail You
I know You love me

Your holy presence
Surrounding me
In every season
I know You love me
I know You love me

At the cross I bow my knee
Where Your blood was she'd for me
There’s no greater love than this
You have overcome the grave
Your glory fills the highest place
What can separate me now

You go before me
You shield my way
Your hand upholds me
I know You love me

You tore the veil
You made a way
When You said that it is done

And when the earth fades
Falls from my eyes
And You stand before me
I know You love me
I know You love me

indonesian

Just had a wonderful conversation with Xiu. Ever since taking a break from ministry, had never really had such a great conversation with her. It will be treasured and stored up.

Recently I have been worshiping and learning Bahasa Indonesia in my own free time. Really learning the language. I must go to Indonesia from missions. I am in love with the land, the culture, the food. Inspired by the faith, the songs and the heart-felt worship and singing of the Indonesians. Like what Xian Bi coined: "They wear their hearts on their sleeves." And how Jian Feng would put it, "Imbah, Gelato!"
Their worship is never for the show, never going through the motions. The riffs, the notes they play, the way they sing, its all anointed, heart-felt, emotionally-charged with love. No matter in Bahasa or English, wherether if it is in a language that they are proficient in or not, they give 100% in it.

Walau Seribu Rebah

TIADA PERNAH KURAGUKAN
KASIH SETIA-MU YA TUHAN
SETIAP WAKTU DALAM HIDUPKU
TAK PERNAH KAU TINGGALKAN

MESKI LANGIT TAMPAK SURAM
AWAN GELAP PUN MENGHADANG
HADAPI BADAI LEWATI GELOMBANG
TAK PERNAH KAU TINGGALKAN DIRIKU

WALAU SERIBU REBAH DI SISIKU
KAU TETAPLAH ALLAH PENOLONGKU
WALAU SEPULUH RIBU REBAH DI KANANKU
TAK KAN KU GOYAH S'BAB YESUS SERTAKU

Walau Seribu Rebah - Symphony Music

between the altar and the door

Careless, I am reckless
I'm a wrong-way-travelin'-slowly-unraveling shell of a man
Burnt out, I'm so numb now
That the fire's just an ember way down in the corner of my cold, cold heart

Lord, this time I'll make it right, here at the altar I lay my life
Your kingdom come but my will was done, my heart is broken as I...

Cry, like so many times before
But my eyes are dry before I leave the floor, oh Lord
I try but this time, Jesus, how can I be sure I will not lose my follow through
Between the altar and the door

Here at the altar, oh my world so black and white
How could I ever falter
What You've shown me to be right

I'm trying so hard to stop trying so hard
Just let You be who You are
Lord, who You are in me
Jesus, I'm trying so hard to stop trying so hard
Just let You be who You are
Lord, who You are in me

Don't want to serve God anymore

Hmm.. After the trip from Malaysia and all, It has been another roller coster ride. Which is usually the case when we receive something powerful, a promise from God and straight after that trials come. Attacks from the Devil.

Came back feeling on-a-high, after a Rhema Word from God. But the next evening, totally chui.
Insensitive words from others, feelings of being unappreciated of the sacrifices and things I have done, I begin to throw a kid's tantrum to God.

"God, didn't You say this and that just yesterday? Why is this happening today? I DON'T want to serve You anymore."

But one thing about God, He is irritating at times. You will never outspeak Him. He just floods images of times that i was down and He was there. Moments when we did it together. And He just asks, "Really?" Man.. What to say?

Then after that listening to Hati Hamba (Indonesian Version) Totally overwhelmed.. He wins again..

Bervatov!

Yea! We got him! Finally!!! Dimitar Berbatov!

From Manutd.com email updates for fans
BERBA: THIS IS MY DREAM

If you followed every twist and turn into the early hours on a dramatic transfer deadline day, you'll have bitten your fingers nails and benefited from very little sleep. But Sir Alex finally got his man, and new signing Dimitar Berbatov says his United move is "a dream come true".

The classy 27-year-old striker has signed a four-year contract at Old Trafford for an undisclosed fee, and he's immediately set his sights on success with the Reds.

Berbatov told ManUtd.com late on Monday night: "Joining Manchester United is a dream come true for me.

"I look forward to playing my part in helping this club win more honours in the years to come."

Sir Alex Ferguson feels United have captured a player of world-class quality. He told us: "This is a key signing. Dimitar is one of the best and most exciting strikers in world football.

"His style and ability will give the team a different dimension and I’m sure he will be a popular player with the fans."

As part of the deal, United striker Fraizer Campbell will spend the rest of the 2008/09 season on loan at White Hart Lane.

Wanna know how he plays?

My Life

Uncertainty, Panic Attacks, Insecurities, Anxieties.
So many of these things are happening in my life now. Especially this season.
But God, I wanna hold on to the call, I want to hold on to You.
Fear Cripples.

Saw a vision during the morning prayer meetings,
I was in tattered and torn clothes, kneeling and bowing my head in prayer.
Then I saw Jesus, and a wonderful display of lights surrounding Him.
He came to me, and kissed me on the forehead. I wept...

GOD OF MY FOREVER
AND FOREVER I'M WITH YOU
MY LIFE IS SAVED WITH A PRICE
YOUR SACRIFICE REDEEMED MY SOUL
GOD OF MY FOREVER
AND FOREVER I WILL SING
MY GREATEST HONOR WILL ALWAYS BE
TO SERVE MY LORD AND KING

God, I am standing here by Your Grace.
