Cheap Grace

I was watching a certain Joseph preaching on youtube and really felt its not right in the Spirit.
But after a while, I was watching this unknown pastor from New York of quite a small congregation, not as flamboyant as the that certain 'Joseph'. But he preached with such power and anointing. He preached about Cheap Grace and how do we not live in cheap grace.

One point that he pointed out hit my heart!
The cheap grace practitioners says "I know God loves me, so He must forgive me."
But this cheapens the grace of God. Its like making use of Jesus.
If you love someone, you will not make use of the person.

When I hear the preaching of the certain 'Joseph'. It sounds so 'self-centered' rather than Christ-centered. Quotes from the sermon:

"When we sin, Grace abounds even more. It swallows up the sin."

Pastor Kong always preach about what Paul says, "Should we continue in sin? Certainly not!"
The word 'certainly' translated from the original text will be translated as "&#@!$*" its like profanity. Truly we shall live a live in the Fear of the Lord. The Bible says the Fear of God is the beginning of all wisdom.

One thing about Pastor Kong, his sermons are never self-centered, its always Christ-centered. Its always about Loving God and Loving people Its always about being carriers of God's presence. Its always about serving God. About being carriers of Revival. About Faith in God. Faith in His promises. Its about presenting to God a life that is of a sweet and fragrant aroma.
Its about winning the lost at any cost. Its about being Discipled in the Great Commandment to obey the Great Commission. To Bring Kristos Kai Kosmos, Christ into Culture. Impacting the society for the Glory of God!(Key word)

Hallejuah! Thank God for Pastor Kong and his stand on the grace message and having a fear of God! Thank God for great mentors that Pastor Kong have. Pastor Ulf, Pastor Phil, Dr A.R. Bernard, Dr Edwin Louis Cole and Brother John Avanizini. And also his fellowship of Pastors like Pastor Mark Conner, Benny Hinn, Pastor Mike Connell, Joyce Meyer and those who came to our church to preach!

And also ultimately for all the bible study materials available in our church. Truly it is a privilege and honour to be serving God in Pastor Kong's Church. =)

Btw today was awesome! =) went shopping with Gabriel. Its is just great man! Very blessed!

There is something about that name.

There is just something about that Name.
Its a Name that heals.
Its a Name that brings deliverance.
Its a Name that brings joy and hope and love and comfort.
Its a Name that millions have died for and gave their lives for.
Its a Name that changes lives.

Pastor still the best

Remember what Pastor Derek said after hearing top speakers preach.

"Pastor (Kong) still the best."

After week after weeks of sermons from Pastor Kong, I can only agree.

Pastor's still the best.

Look at his disciples.

Pastor Kong is still the best!

Every word that he preaches...

Everything that he taught...

It carries conviction, carries weight.

He lives what he preaches.

"I want to love God more today than I did yesterday, Love God more this minute than I did the last minute."

"Blessed is he who is not offended because of Me"

"Raise up a generation of people who will take the nations of Asia by storm."

Pastor Kong's still the best.

Proving yourself

Confidence in God.

Pastor preached such a powerful message this weekend.

Wow...

Being really confident in God is really not proving who we are in God, but knowing who we are.

"If You are the Son of God, turn this stone into bread."

"If You are the Son of God, jump down and see if the angels will catch You."

"If You are the Son of God, show the world the glory of Your possessions and kingdoms."

As I read the Bible last night, even till the point of death on the cross, the devil and religious continued to tempt Jesus to prove Himself.

"Mt 27:40;42:

the passer-by begin to mock Jesus. 'If You are the Son of God, come down from the cross.

The chief priest begin to mock Jesus too: " If He is the King of Israel, let Him come down from the cross and we will believe Him."

But Jesus remained on the cross. Is He not the messiah? Is He not the One?

He did not prove Himself.

But look at what happened...

In verse 54 after Jesus died on the Cross and the veil in the temple split into two. There was this great and big earthquake. The centurion and those who were guarding Jesus was greatly afraid and begin to say: "Truly this is the Son of God."

Wow... How powerful this confidence is. When we don't try to prove ourselves, God Himself will prove us. God will confirm us with signs and wonders. =) 

What a cool God.

Its time to improve my and bring my guitar skills to the next level. For I will play skillfully, and shout for joy! BEcause His word is right and true. He is faithful..

However, its one thing to play skillfully, another to play 'anointed-ly'. But its a whole new world playing but anointed and skillfully music. that is where i wanna go. =) Hallelujah!

Haha. The flu virus is in the air.
Was sick and felt feverish since last Thursday. Coughing real bad since then. Couldn't sleep at night because of the coughing.
But Saturday service means so much to me. Was really unbearable to even step out of the door for meals. However, nothing can be exchanged for the presence of God in service.
On Saturday night, my temperature was 37.5.

Yesterday, was still feverish.
Decided that must really go to the doctor's.
Haven't had fever for so many days before after coming to Christ.
God has been good to my health.

So I spent the day at home resting.
But decided that will practice a little on photoshop. Here's one of the completed works.

Guess what, I share the same birthday as Mike Tyson! LOL

On a positive note, I share the same birthday as Gary Pallister, a legendary Manchester United Player. During his time at Manchester United, Pallister won three FA Cups, four Premier League titles, one League Cup and one Cup Winners' Cup.
Gary Pallister is one of the players what first brought the cups to United. It is said that he played with class as a defender.

Leaving legacies... =)

Different

I was walking home one day after fellowship with XianBi and Kenneth. And thoughts of many familiar Bible stories was brought to my remembrance.

The ten lepers, The 3 servants with the talents, Peter walking on water, David and Goliath. David taking over the throne of King Saul. Joshua and Caleb and the rest of the spies who went and scouted the promise land. Noah's Ark.

I begin to ask God, what is the difference between them and the others in their time and age.
Then God, being the cool God, answered, 'the difference between them is different.'
To the flesh, Its like 'duh...' but in the spirit, its wow!

I went back and went to my trusty website, www.biblegateway.com and searched on the word 'different' and see what I have got.

"But because my servant Caleb has a different spirit and follows me wholeheartedly, I will bring him into the land he went to, and his descendants will inherit it."
-Numbers 14:24

"The Spirit of the LORD will come upon you in power, and you will prophesy with them; and you will be changed into a different person."
1 Samuel 10:6

Its the kind of difference that stands out. The leper who returned to give thanks, he choosed to be different and broke away from the crowd. He choosed to break away from the nine other lepers and became totally healed, physically, emotionally and spiritually. The different attitude that he has made him gained smth more.

By breaking away from the crowd of 9 lepers, he got smth that is eternal.
What the 9 lepers got is physical healing.
Physical healing will not last forever,
One day, their body cells will still breakdown. The nine lepers will still die.

So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen. For what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal.
-1 Cor 4:18

However, in choosing to be different, the one leper has gained smth that is eternal, his salvation. This really reminds us to be different from others.
Hang out with turkeys, you will never soar like an eagle.
Fly with eagles and you will always be encouraged to soar with them.
