FFM BSv

Praise God! Just came back from FFM-L1 taught by Jeremy.
Really learn and felt alot about the lesson.
The one thing that I felt God nudging me on the most is the purpose and goal that God has for every single believer.

1. To increase the influence of the individual and church.
2. To grow deeper in God.

As I begin to meditate and expound upon the Word, A vision of a tree begin to form in my eyes.
A Christian Life is always likened to a tree. Pastor Tan said this 2 weeks ago, there is a purpose for everything God does. And the purpose reveals its potential.

1. The tree is to bear fruits; and how broad the leaves is determines its influence in society.
That is the purpose of the tree.
"Your mother was like a vine in your bloodline,
Planted by the waters, fruitful and full of branches, because of many waters.
She had strong branches for scepters of rulers. She towered in stature above the thick branches, and was seen in her height amid the dense foliage."
-Eze 19:10-11

2. The only way for the tree to do that is to have a strong foundation in its root system.
The roots system ensures the healthy supply of nutrients and water to the leaves and flowers, so as to ensure there is enough moisture in the tree, truck, branches, leaves and ultimately flowers and fruits. Its also important for the branches to be connected to the truck (vine) because it is how the moisture is transmitted from the roots to the branches.

“I am the vine, you are the branches. He who abides in Me, and I in him, bears much fruit; for without Me you can do nothing."
-Jesus, John 15:5

Isn't this like what is in God's heart and His purpose for the church? To increase in influence in society as individuals and a church. Also to increase in depth in our love, and service for Him.

Another thing that impacted me is being able to position ourselves to receive and appreciate the ministries of the many ministers and leaders of God.

That really brought me to the thought that Pastor Kong has always shared.
"Two people can come into the same service, listen to the same sermon, sitting in the same atmosphere. But one can come out, totally convicted, encouraged and on-fire. But the other comes out still the same, unmoved and unchanged."

Its about positioning ourselves to receive from the man and woman of God.
This is especially true for 'older' believers. 'Younger' believers don't really get complacent, most of the times is those who are in church for some time that get complacent.
But over the years and months with Yong Xiu, I have really learn something about it, The preacher may preach the same message, but the Holy Spirit moves differently every time. My God is a God of new things. Really thank Xiu for giving me the chance to go for duplicate service to accompany members and friends for make-up. Every service, may be the same message, brings forth a different revelation. I learned so much more during duplicate services. Learn to mould my character as well.

Its a solid week. Really love praying more and more. It has been a tough week in fasting. Kept being tempted to break my fast, but just held on. The feeling of fasting is like when I was a young believer that was struggling to keep my fast.
But I believe it is like going back to '1' again. After the achievements of 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7 ,8, 9 then 10 in the areas of fasting. But I believe its now '1' but at '11' just that its at another level.
Like what Dr Jeffrey Lachmat shared. Its 1 at another level.
Going to press on. =D
